Usina do Gasômetro (Former Gas Plant)

Where until 1974 a Thermoelectric Power Plant worked, today is located one of the most important cultural centers of Porto Alegre, with special places for art expos, shows, technoscientific meetings, theatre plays and whatever other cultural promotions.There's even a large wine cellar and a tourist information center.

The 107m tall chimney is the symbol of the Gas Plant, located by the Guaiba River with a beautiful view of the sunset.
