Lights will be rigged on the floor, and a camera on the ceiling will register how the public blocks the lights with their bodies.
The camera will see an empty space as an unobstructed light, whereas a dark spot will register as a space occupied by a person. The software compares each frame captured by the camera and registers the differences between them, thus creating a movement path. For this reason there is no need for the participants to wear any special gear or sensors on their bodies.
