{"id":255,"date":"2016-09-22T12:27:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-22T11:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lenara.com\/urbangarden\/?p=255"},"modified":"2025-02-26T12:31:05","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T11:31:05","slug":"cannibal-tomato-is-not-a-tomato","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lenara.com\/urbangarden\/cannibal-tomato-is-not-a-tomato\/","title":{"rendered":"Cannibal tomato is not a tomato."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This is a red eggplant native to Fiji island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes it looks a lot like a tomato.&nbsp;In fact the friend I left watering my balcony plants while I was away told me he bit onto one&nbsp;with gusto, only to find out he doesn\u2019t like the taste of raw eggplant (I\u2019d think few people do).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I picked up a&nbsp;seedling for this curious plant at Prinzessinnengarten community garden and it grew quite well in my balcony.
