Now on the second year they are growing spores stalks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I got the thyme plant as a tender tiny&nbsp;sprig cutting from a friend. It rooted well, survived a couple of winters on the balcony, and now the stalk almost looks like a miniature tree trunk with bark and such.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has&nbsp;the most amazing fresh smell, a hint of ginger mixed with thyme.
