Shady & sunny halves of the mulch. This thick layer of leaves keeps the soil underneath protected & frost free.
Last apples that were still hanging are harvested. The leaves are gone and the tree is ready for winter dormancy.
This moment comes every year, and the next year I plant physalis again from seed. It’s such a beautiful and delicious plant. Grateful for the harvest.

One of my favorite berries, the #physalis is finally ripening. I’ll be enjoying them until the frost comes. Hopefully for a while still 🤞

The tart grapes are also starting to ripen. They make excellent jam.

New grape vines are already producing a small harvest and they are delicious.

New spontaneous arrival: creeping wood sorrel. Joining ground ivy, also spontaneous, and white clover, intentionally planted as ground cover.
The beautiful leaves of #physalis – the first fruits are already ripe, will keep enjoying them until the frost comes.
